Nov. 17--UnumProvident Corp., could start on a third office building in downtown Chattanooga as early as next November if work on a 1,000-car parking garage slated to begin in December goes smoothly.

The office building will be more than 200,000 square feet in size and cost about $45 million, said Richard Meadows, UnumProvident's director of facilities management in the Southeast region.

The cost could be more depending on the final size, he said.

"We want to make sure we have enough space," said Mr. Meadows.
