DETROIT_It couldn't go on forever. Not even the Sharks would have disputed that notion. That it was the Detroit Red Wings_er, make that the mighty Detroit Red Wings, owners of the NHL's best mark_doing the honors made perfect sense, too.
But the way San Jose's franchise-record 10-game unbeaten streak ended, well, that didn't sit well at all. It wasn't that the Sharks were blanked, 3-0, by the Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena, or even that it was Detroit veterans Kris Draper, Steve Yzerman and Brett Hull scoring the goals.
It was that they stood around and watched it happen.
