Jan. 7--After spending 500 million baht on taking over Banpu's Laem Chabang terminal, Nam Yeun Yong Shipping Co is pouring 700 million baht into building additional facilities.

"A feasibility plan for investment and business strategies is due to be completed in the next two months," said Theparak Leungsuwan, the company's managing director.

In November, Banpu Plc agreed to sell its terminal handling unit at Laem Chabang in Chon Buri to Nam Yeun Yong for 500 million baht as part of its strategy to shed businesses outside its core coal and power activities.
