Jan. 7--Traders anticipate a marked upturn in the domestic and export prices of rice this year, although the volume shipped abroad may fall short of the record set last year.
Shipments hit 7.52 million tonnes in 2001, an increase of 13.9 percent from the 6.6 million tonnes in 2000.
