Jan. 4--Almost four months ago, Krirk-krai Jirapaet, the former permanent secretary of commerce, was appointed as an adviser to the prime minister. Now he is wondering why Thaksin Shinawatra has never sought his advice.
"My position (C-11 grade) is equal to that of the permanent secretary, the top administrative official, but there is no job description," Mr Krirk-krai said.
His current position was approved by the Civil Service Commission in October and entails providing the premier with advice on economic issues that influence international affairs. In theory, he helps the permanent Thailand Trade Representatives (TTR).
