Jan. 3--A Thai manufacturer is exporting world-class freezers, a key component of the frozen food industry, with the goal of developing Thailand as a manufacturing centre for the world's food preservation industry.
The Board of Investment offers promotional privileges for the local production of freezers to replace imported alternatives.
But it was not until 1996 that a locally made freezer took shape after Siam Electrical Manufacturer Co (SEM) was established, with registered capital of 100 million baht.
