Jan. 3--By most accounts, the European version of the New World Order is off to a relatively successful start, though not without some amusing hiccups.

The press in euro-zone countries has been beside itself trying to capture the moment in words. We liked "europhoria", the word coined by Corriere Della Sera in Italy. El Pais in Spain said the new money was circulating "without note-worthy incident".

It was left, unsurprisingly, to The Sun in Britain to remind its readers, "Euro-ripoffs begin". Take that, Tony Blair and all you other closet integrationists.
