Feb. 7--The complexities of retirement plans can be utterly confusing for people who invest.
Employees need to know about vesting, options, matches, stocks, mutual funds and restrictions on diversification.
Even plan administrators at some of the area's major employers say it is a daunting task.
But financial experts say it is important for investors to educate themselves--especially if they hope to dodge problems like those Enron employees faced. Enron workers were left jobless and, in some cases, with no retirement savings when the energy giant crumbled.
