Feb. 5--Big names in the farming sector such as the Charoen Pokphand Group are well known nationwide. But some smaller, low-profile players in related industries have a hand in their success.

Take Triumph Engineering Co, founded 20 years ago, a producer of feed mill equipment and other heavy agricultural machinery.

Thai-owned, it supplies equipment of international quality to feed mills and livestock businesses nationwide, claiming a 50 percent share of the market.

The firm's major clients include the CP Group, Soon Hua Seng Group, Saha Farm, and Bangkok Ranch Plc. As well, it makes machinery for other industries including pulp and paper, sugarcane, construction, cement and steel.
