Mobile Data Services Suffer from Slow Market Uptake in Thailand.

Feb. 4--Mobile data services, widely known as MDS or non-voice, have been available in developed and developing markets for two years.
But they have been successful only in South Korea and Japan to date, according to the mobile division of Siemens.
The slow progress of MDS in other countries including Thailand has been blamed on inadequate content or applications, low availability of enabled devices and slow data transfer speeds among other factors, according to Rudolf Klink, senior vice-president and head of the Siemens Information and Communication Mobile Group (ICM).
