Feb. 4--More than 43 billion baht in debt has been restructured by the Thai Asset Management Corp as of the end of last month, with recovery value on par with the prices paid by the state agency, according to TAMC president Lt Yodchai Chusri.
As of Jan 31, 50 accounts involving debt with a book value of 43.5 billion baht had been restructured, he said. One-third of the cases involved property firms. with another 30 percent representing industrial companies.
The completed cases account for 43 percent of the TAMC's target to restructure 100 billion baht in debt by next month.
