Feb. 20--Northwest retail chains are still scoring high marks when it comes to customer satisfaction, but their competition is gaining ground in a discount-driven retail climate.
Nationally, customer satisfaction at major retail chains rose 2.6 percent in 2001, according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index, a closely watched annual survey by the University of Michigan Business School.
