Mar. 6--The Bank of Thailand will finalise a plan to restructure the finances of the Financial Institutions Development Fund within a few weeks, M.R. Pridiyathorn Devakula, the central bank governor, said yesterday.
He said the central bank had scrapped a plan to issue new bonds totalling 320 billion baht to help refinance the FIDF's liabilities.
The central bank was working with the Finance Ministry on a new refinancing programme for the FIDF, M.R. Pridiyathorn said, although he declined to give details.
