Mar. 5--Thailand Securities Depository Co (TSD) plans to expand its business by targeting mutual fund management companies.
To start with, it will act as a central registrar for retirement mutual fund management companies at the beginning of the third quarter this year.
Currently, TSD was the registrar of only common shares listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, said Nongram Wongwanich, TSD's president.
To expand its business, TSD will start offering a registrar service for mutual fund management companies, with emphasis given first to fast-growing retirement mutual funds (RMFs).
