Mar. 1--Thailand's economy, which is being stimulated by macroeconomic policies, is expected to benefit from a faster rebound in the United States, according to Supavud Saicheua, executive vice-president of Merrill Lynch Phatra Securities.

"Economic growth for Thailand this year is likely to be revised up from the earlier projection of 2 percent," he said yesterday at a briefing by Merrill Lynch.

The United States has seen better-than-expected economic growth since the fourth quarter of last year, and growth in this year's first quarter is likely to stay between 3 percent and 4 percent, leading to a faster US ...
