Northwest Airlines to Add Flights at Richmond, Va., International Airport.

Mar. 14--Northwest Airlines will start offering daily nonstop flights between its hub in Minneapolis and Richmond International Airport on July 1.

The twice-daily flights will increase Northwest's daily departures out of Richmond from three to five and will make it easier for travelers to get connecting flights to destinations in the airline's U.S. and Asian network, a Northwest official said.

Northwest Airlink, a subsidiary of Northwest Airlines, will provide the flights on 50-seat Canadair regional jets.
