Apr. 5--Whisky tycoon Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi is moving to acquire a majority stake in NCC Management and Development, the operator of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC), currently held by SC Asset.
Sources yesterday confirmed a news report in Than Settakij that negotiations were under way between representatives of Thai Charoen Commercial Group (TCC) and the management of SC Asset, the real estate arm of Shin Corp, which is majority-owned by Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra's family.
However, the price of the shares had not been finalised, the source said.
