Apr. 4--Advertising agencies in Thailand, both local and international chains, are saying that putting on full-scale pitches for potential clients without any sort of compensation is costing them vast amounts of time and money.
For that reason, more than 30 members of the Advertising Association of Thailand (AAT), are discussing the introduction of a "pitch-fee".
"Advertising agencies are sometimes losing tens to hundreds of thousand baht a year producing pitches for companies looking for a new agency," said AAT president Parames Rachjaibun.
Mr Parames said that the industry was collectively in the process of determining a figure for the pitch fee, which should be decided by the end of April.
