Apr. 3--Philips' sales of consumer electronics in the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East and Africa are expected to rebound this year with at least 10 percent growth due to the improving Asian economy.

Sales from the three regions last year represented about 16 percent of the company's total consumer electronics sales worldwide, and were worth 9.5 billion euros last year.

The company has set a long-term goal to become number two in the region, controlling at least a 10 percent share of the consumer electronics market by introducing new products.
