Apr. 3--If S&P Syndicate Plc's public offering of 10 million shares proves successful, it could encourage other small listed firms to follow suit, according to Surat Taesriprasert, a vice-president at Asset Plus Securities.
He said S&P's offering, which includes five million free warrants, would be one of the first by small listed firm since the recession began in 1997.
Paid-up capital of the restaurant and bakery chain will increase to 350 million baht from 300 million after the issue. The company is 69 percent owned by the Sila-on and Raiva families.
