Apr. 2--In its latest effort to solidify Japanese investments in Thailand and curb their possible relocation to China, the Board of Investment has vowed a more service-oriented strategy and a focus on promoting more technology-intensive projects this year.
"Thailand is now desperate for more aggressive measures to boost Japanese investments, as China is currently becoming the most popular investment destination of foreign investors," said Sompong Wanapa, the BoI secretary-general.
