Apr. 2--The fate of Submicron Technologies' wafer fabrication project is in the hands of Cerberus Capital Management, a US mutual investment fund, says Industry Minister Suriya Juengrungruangkij.
Mr Suriya insisted that the government would not invest in the wafer project because of budget constraints. The best way to revive the project, he suggested, was for Submicron chief executive Charn Uswachoke to negotiate directly with Cerberus, the prospective co-investor.
