May 2--Policies affecting animal-feed producers should be set for several years, instead of annually, to develop the industry and help livestock raisers compete in the world market.
Somphol Kiatphaibool, an adviser to Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak, made the recommendation yesterday at a seminar marking the 60th anniversary of the Livestock Development Department.
His comments were welcomed by feed producers who have been calling for a policy that would help them manage costs more effectively.
