May 6--The outlook for the country's economy next year remains uncertain although clear signals of economic recovery emerged from prime economic indicators in the first quarter, according to a leading academic at the National Institute of Development Administration.

Nikorn Wattanapanom, the dean of Nida's business administration faculty, said the improved economic data did not mean the economy would pick up next year, since the injection of money into many state projects remained exposed to high-risk factors.
