May 3--Kanok Abhiradee was sworn in as the new Thai Airways president yesterday with ambitious targets to augment profits and streamline management.
Mr Kanok, who became the national carrier's 13th president, said his goal in the next five years was to see THAI increase its revenue to 200 billion baht a year, up from the current 130 billion baht.
Increasing revenues by 10 percent each year would be achievable since the airline had a strong workforce and harboured profit-making potential, he said.
