May 16--HARTFORD, Conn.--U.S. Rep. Nancy Johnson, R-6th District and a New Britain resident, said Tuesday her husband voted against Stanley Works reincorporating in Bermuda in last week's poll of company shareholders.
"He and I have always opposed this move," the 10-term Republican congresswoman said. Her husband owns 1,667 shares of Stanley stock valued at about $75,000.
And so went another day in the race for the new 5th District, a contest already approaching fever pitch more than five months away from Election Day. Incumbents Johnson and U.S. Rep. James Maloney, D-5th District, are competing for the same district in the race, expected to be one of the closest watched in the nation.
