Jun. 1--Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding yesterday sealed a deal with 19 creditors to reduce interest rates on 44 billion baht owed by a subsidiary.
The agreement will reduce the interest payments by about 280 million baht in the second half of this year.
The holding company told the Stock Exchange of Thailand yesterday that 19 lenders to its wholly-owned subsidiary, Ratchaburi Electricity Generating, a power plant operator, had agreed to reduce interest rates and relax certain terms and conditions of the existing loan agreement. The amended agreement would be effective on July 1.
