Jun. 4--Jay Mart, the country's largest mobile-phone distributor, is preparing to import major handset brands directly instead of just acting as a distributor for cellular operators, now that the operators have unlocked their network access codes.
Viboon Ruangkraisin, chief marketing officer of Jay Mart, said the company was discussing co-operation agreements with other distributors and representatives of leading brands such as Nokia, Ericsson and Siemens.
