Jun. 4--PARKING? OKAY, BUT NOT FOR LONG: Last week we aired a reader complaint about the, um, unusual queue management practices at the new and improved branch of HSBC at the U Chu Liang Building.
Essentially, the queue number one received from the machine bore no real resemblance to one's real place in the pecking order, since some customers who were friendly with selected staff were able to jump queues at will. The reader reports that operations have since been made more transparent, for which he thanks the bank.
Now, perhaps, HSBC can tackle the over-zealous enforcement of its parking rules, says another correspondent.
