Jun. 6--Food producers can obtain export certificates more quickly by calling at the One Stop Export Service Centre, which opened for business yesterday on the first floor of the Export Promotion Department's headquarters.
The new centre is expected to shorten the process of obtaining clearance to between one and three days from eight to 10 days previously.
The new agency is operated by a total of 40 officials from 13 agencies involved in the food industry including the departments of Foreign Trade, Livestock, Fisheries and Customs, as well as the Board of Trade of Thailand and the Muslim halal food authority.
