Parent Firm of Planner for Thai Petrochemical Firm Braces for Hearing.
Jun. 6--Ferrier Hodgson, the parent firm of the company overseeing the business rehabilitation of Thai Petrochemical Industry Plc (TPI), is stepping up efforts to protect its reputation on the eve of a crucial court case.
The first hearing on criminal charges against Effective Planners Ltd and its Australian executives is scheduled for tomorrow in the Southern Bangkok Criminal Court.
"We're gravely concerned about the hearings, since they involve criminal charges," said Ian Ferrier, president of Sydney-based Ferrier Hodgson. "The resulting criminal records would be extremely undesirable."
