Thailand Danu Bank Sets Its Sights on Retail Segment.

Jun. 6--DBS Thai Danu Bank will seek to compete in the retail credit market through strategies to maintain relationships with good customers, according to Tada Charukitpaisarn, senior vice-president for marketing.
Several commercial banks have made bold moves such as slashing interest rates to attract mortgage customers, but DBS Thai Danu said it would not compete in the mortgage loan market on pricing, as it would take four years to break even on lower interest rates.
The interest rates offered by the bank for mortgage credit were already low compared with the market's average, said Mr Tada.
