Jul. 1--The Finance Ministry is moving ahead with privatisation of four state enterprises in the transport and communications sectors in 2004.

Total assets of the Expressway and Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand, the State Railway of Thailand, The Transport Co and the Mass Communications Organisation of Thailand are estimated at 218 billion baht.

Finance Ministry sources said that under the plan, all four state enterprises would be listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand by 2004.

A formal privatisation plan is expected to be submitted to Finance Minister Somkid Jatusripitak for approval this month.
