Jul. 8--LEROY-- The new owner of LeRoy Products Corporation is infusing the town's largest private employer with new equipment and new customers. And, townsfolk hope, a brighter future.
The B Group, a holding company in Burnsville, Minn., took over the company June 18 with the purchase of approximately 83 percent of LPC shares held by the LeRoy Economic Development Authority. There are three other minority shareholders.
The Development Authority gained controlling interest of the electronics firm two years ago, its chairman, Gene Miller, explained, when LPC owners Don and Paul Bothun died.
