Jul. 4--Plans to boost tourism and free trade between Thailand and India are gathering pace, with Bandhit Sotipalalit, designated as the CEO ambassador to India by the Thai government, pointing the way.
The Thai embassy in New Delhi is one of six targeted under the CEO ambassador programme.
The plan to increase tourism between the two countries includes opening a new consulate in Chennai, formerly Madras, in South India, connecting more Indian cities with direct flights from Bangkok, speedy completion of the road link between India and Thailand via Burma, attracting Indian film-makers to shoot in Thailand and lobbying for ...
