Jul. 3--Unilever (Thai) Holdings Co is offering a new credit tool exclusively to small grocery stores to encourage them to make purchases directly from the consumer-goods giant than from discount stores.
Issued in conjunction with Siam Commercial Bank, the Unilever Credit Plus card will offer credit terms of up to 35 days, compared with the 14 days normally offered by Unilever's agents to small retailers.
Unilever is seeking to draw back retailers who have been obtaining their products from discount stores that sell goods below suppliers' benchmark prices, as well as offering additional giveaways.
