Conversion Delay to Benefit IPO of Thailand Telephone Organisation.

Aug. 1--Failure to convert state concessions to a new basis this year will be positive rather than negative for the initial public offering of shares by TOT Corporation, due in the middle of this month, according to its executives.
The Telephone Organisation of Thailand changed the name it had used for more than 50 years to TOT Corporation yesterday after registering itself as a public company. The move marks the first step to a planned listing on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in November.
TOT Corporation has initial registered capital of six billion baht or 600 million shares of 10 baht par.
