Bank of Thailand Revises Its Growth Forecast to 3-4 Percent.

Aug. 1--The Bank of Thailand has raised its official economic growth forecast by half a percentage point, citing improvements in the domestic economy.

The central bank now projects growth for the year ranging from 3 percent to 4 percent, up from a previous estimate of 2.5 percent to 3.5 percent. Its forecast for 2003 growth has been increased to between 3 percent and 4 percent, from 2.5 percent to 4 percent.
