Aug. 5--The Small Industry Finance Corporation (SIFC) expects to be able to extend only 20 billion baht in loans this year, below its original target of 29 billion baht.
"The original projection is too high, as you are all aware," said SIFC president Samran Phu-anantanond, speaking at a press conference yesterday.
The release of the latest figures followed the SIFC's decision in July to revise down its loan growth target for the year to 24 billion baht, from 29 billion, to cap default risk.
