Aug. 6--Local fast-food restaurants, including Pizza Hut and KFC, are poised to raise prices in response to higher production costs, including fuel.
Panithan Sethabutra, managing director of Yum Restaurants International (Thailand) Co, the operator of the Pizza Hut and KFC chains, said quick-service restaurant chains are feeling the pinch from soaring oil prices, and some have already responded by lifting the prices of certain menu items by as much as 5 percent or 10 percent.
