Sep. 5--Last week, I saw a job advertisement from a company that had co-opted an image of Paradorn Srichaphan in its advertisement to lure potential employees.
It is not the first to do so and will certainly not be the last. But co-opting an image of Paradorn is the easy part. Getting others to attain his level of achievement is the more interesting (and harder) part.
I have never met Paradorn. My knowledge of his career and character comes from television and newspapers. But in a society with few role models, especially among the youth, I would like to suggest Paradorn is the ideal role model.
