Sep. 4--Giacomo, an Italian-sounding fashion brand with a Thai pedigree, is testing the world market, starting in Belgium where a licensee is making leather products and apparel.
Named by an Italian partner, Giacomo makes women's handbags, briefcases and golf apparel but has a low profile in the domestic market. Golf bags and towels will be the next additions to the product line.
Jirasak Charoenkit, the managing director of Frontlines and Intertrade Co, owns Giacomo. His deputy is Supranee Chutkaew.
