Sep. 2--Sellers of audio-visual products and accessories say they welcome newly-imposed safety standards but the procedures are too time-consuming and the tests could damage the goods.
The requirement, which took effect on Saturday, applies to 14 types of electronic products and related equipment including power amps and pre-amplifiers, radios, power speakers, televisions, video compact discs, compact discs, video and digital versatile disc players and musical instruments.
