Sep. 2--Asia Fibre reported a net profit of 52.6m bt (1.15 bt/share) for the year ended June 30, vs net profit of 40.4m bt (0.89 bt/share) in the previous year. Its board on Aug 29 approved no dividend for the year ended June 30, due to accumulated losses. The annual shareholders' meeting will be held on Oct 14, register closed Sept 30.
--Bangkok Expressway said that, following its meeting with the Office of the Commission for the Management of Land Traffic on toll reduction for the route from Bang Na-Rarm Intra-Art Narong expressway (Sector D, Din Daeng) on Aug 27, the company agreed to cut the tolls from 135 bt to 65 bt, comprising the urban network tolls of 40 bt and the Sector D tolls of 25 bt.
The Expressway and Rapid Transit Authority and the company receive 20 bt each from the urban network tolls. The company cannot cut the Sector D tolls as it is a new route separate from the urban expressway. The matter is being considered by the government.
