Oct. 1--The Small Industry Finance Corporation (SIFC) plans to seek a strategic partner after being upgraded into the SME Development Bank.
Samran Bhu-anantanondh, the SIFC president, said the partner should have expertise in retail loan management and a good perception of SME development to help strengthen the new bank's operations.
The possible holding set aside for the potential partner would be between 10 percent and 20 percent. However, he said, the SIFC would not negotiate with any party until it became a bank.
