Oct. 3--BankThai plans to raise four billion baht by end of this year by issuing debentures with maturity periods of up to five years.
The proceeds would finance new lending in the first half of next year, said Pisit Serewiwattana, the executive vice-president overseeing treasury/sales and trading.
This year, the bank has made new loans totalling 15 billion baht, against a target of 18 billion baht for the year.
