Oct. 2--Bangkok Insurance Plc plans to increase its investment in stocks and debentures since they are showing better annualised returns than bank deposits and bonds.
The company would set aside 200 million baht to buy undervalued stocks on the Stock Exchange of Thailand since it was likely the SET would remain bearish for the rest of the year, said chairman and managing director Chai Sophonpanich.
Favourable returns in the first half contributed to average yields on investments of up to 86 percent, worth 217 million baht.
