Sapient rises on Q2 profit news
The consulting and IT firm made 4 cents a share, beating views by 2 cents and reversing a year-ago loss of 4 cents a share. Revenues rose 45% to $64.5 mil, benefiting from more firms moving back-office ops to India. Sapient rose 32% to 6.97. Rival Indian IT services firm Infosys' shares rose 3% to 50.15 as the firms benefit from increased Indian outsourcing.
