Aug. 3--State enterprises plan to invest 1.5 trillion baht over the next five years in new infrastructure and development projects, according to Areepong Bhoocha-oom, the deputy director-general of the State Enterprise Policy Committee.
He said the new investment would come mostly in the transport and energy sectors.
About one-third of the planned investments would be funded by internal profits estimated at 500 billion baht for state enterprises over the next five years.
