Aug. 3--Already established in Thailand for two decades, Dapper General Apparel Co is joining a handful of other Thai fashion brands in opening shops abroad, initially in Southeast Asia and Europe.

A number of stand-alone Dapper shops, retailing clothes and leather goods, will be opened in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Australia, Spain and Germany by the end of this year, according to chief executive Sirichai Sripaisal.

A small number of Thai clothing firms, including Fly Now, Greyhound and Pena House, have already taken the plunge into overseas markets while Strong Waves Co, which owns the Senada ...
